Case study

Premio AMD Colorlife is a piece designed for Abierto Mexicano de Diseño, sponsored by Comex, that works as a distinguished prize for the designer who makes the best use of color in his exhibition during the event.

To conceptualize this piece we relied on how a raw material acquires a different meaning when it is intervened with color. To represent this, a flat concrete block was used, which is being traversed by a metal disk that symbolizes the color entering the material. The paint used was the tone Emilia of Comex.

The winner of the 2019 award was Moises Hernández for his piece “Mesh Volumes”.
